AAU Taekwondo Dan Certification Program
The AAU Taekwondo Dan Program was to create a National Dan Certification that also unifies the Taekwondo community. AAU Taekwondo has always been inclusive of the WT, ITF, and TSD/MDK styles, and we recognize how diversity strengthens our program.
Who Is This Program For? The program is designed for Taekwondo practitioners who are ready to test for their first or next Black Belt (Dan) rank.
Taekwondo Black Belts who already have a Dan certificate either from their local school, or another organization, and would like to have that current rank recognized with an equivalent AAU Dan Certificate, instead of waiting until their next testing opportunity. If the application is for a Dan match of 2nd or higher, all testing certifications must be uploaded for Approval.
Email aau.tkd.dan@gmail.com to request further information about a "Dan Match." Attach a copy of your current AAU Taekwondo annual membership to this initial communication.
- With an AAU Taekwondo “Dan Match," the date on your new AAU Certificate will match your original referencing certificate so that it will not delay your next testing opportunity.
4th Dan and higher Black Belts with current AAU Taekwondo Certification who would like to become authorized AAU Taekwondo Dan Program Recommenders.
