Competition Rules

The Competition Rules and Judges guidelines of the US Surfing federation shall govern all AAU Surfing competition. The Amateur Code of the US Surfing Federation shall be enforced. These rules and documents can be viewed on-line at www.ussurf.org by following the link to "Events".

Youth events

are held in the following divisions:

Shortboard

Menehune 12 & Under
Boys 13-14
Junior Men 15-17
Girls 17 & Under

Longboard
Menehune 14 & Under
Junior 15-17
Girls 17 & Under

Bodyboard
Menehune 14 & Under
Junior 15-17 (girls 17 & Under)

Adult Events are held in the following divisions:

Shortboard
Men 18-25
Junior Women 18-29
Senior Grandmasters 45-54
Legends 55+

Longboard
Men 18-25
Masters 26-39
Senior 40+
Womens 18+

Bodyboard
Men 18-29
Senior Men 30+
Womens 18+
